    Exhaust gutting (hiring local welders)

I have a 02 VFR I'm looking at options for exhaust. Realizing I'm
    A. Cheap
    B. Only really intersted in enhancing the V4 sound.
    And
    C. Most aftermarket VFR exhaust don't look right.

I've done some homework and seems the gutting of the stock pipes not only is cheap but also sounds very nice.
One problem. It requires the cutting of the pipe tips, pulling the baffles and welding the tips back on. I can't weld.

Any welders around Lexington, Bedford, concord or whatever (I'm not afraid to drive a ways).Who want to make a few bucks?

I have a nice miller mig welder you could use or I could use it.. I am not a professional and only have about 40 hours of just straight welding experience so no crying if I suck but no charge..

Thanks FTMS. I do have the directions but I'm gonna shoot closer to home.

FireboltEric - good to hear from ya! Yep, Im still on the Constitution. I'll be here till July. Let me know when you want to come by. I'll take care of you. Ship's a little dirty due to renovations though.

Thanks for the replies from everybody. I'm not looking for anything special and it doesn't have to be pretty. The heat shields will cover the work anyway.

Re: Exhaust gutting (hiring local welders)

    I did it to my 06 !

Awesome sound and it looks like it was never touched .

A sawzall and know someone who can weld . EASY !!!

Any welder can put it back like stock . The ONLY pain is removing the pipes ..... but that is a piece of cake too .

Let me know of there's any help you need .

There's a couple gents I can hook you up with here in Lowell
