What is wrong with the bike? Do you need trouble shooting help or physical help?

Awww fuck. Been there. Well, not THERE. Same situation though. Wish I could do more than post a worthless reply...
Good luck! Hopefully someone'll jump to the rescue soon enough!

I made it a mile before it quite out again, weird. Oil's fine, fluids are fine, when it starts to sputter and die the signals and lights arent working. Battery isnt be recharged I think. Atleast I made it to another breakdown area.

i had a similar sounding problem with my 98 vfr..was a rectifier/regulator issue.....good luck with your diagnosis.....
916/748 bad connection between the stator and regulator pretty common.
Get the fairings off and and follow the wires out of the stator and look for a bad connection short etc.
Will give you $1000. for it as is.
jk, hope you get things worked out.
Maybe the band of gypsies in your engine decided that instead of making a dry clutch sound, they were going to get drunk and pass out.![]()

It's a very common problem with the 916. It happened to me on a group ride a while back.
Check your R/R. Mine happened to be ok, but it's often the problem.
The other main area to check is the wiring from the stator. Its prone to breakdown from heat. Switch to a higher gauge and possibly replace the connector if it looks melted.

Next time you can certainly save the ride and call me since you were only about 1 mile away from our shop.![]()
Bike's home, three cheers for Chuck! What a horrible place to break down!
