Having a 250 I get some really fun ones.
Yesterday from co-workers who just found out I have a motorcycle.

-I own a Triumph speed triple, its not the comments from non-riders'......its the comments from actual members of the "sportbike" or "street bike" community that make me crack up. right to their faces, I laugh at most if not all questions, comments or odd suggestions like "what happened to the fairings?"
-I will always say thanks and chat about it to anyone saying, "that's a nice bike, what is it?"

I get the same ones all the time. A spin on getting it '...to sound like that...': Had a dude on an old Ninja tell me he was gonna get Yosh pipes (like mine) so he could get his bike to sound like mine (TLR). He went on to tell me the Harley guys won't give him shit if it sounded '...like that...' (pointing to my TLR)...

Yeah, I always get the "What's an Aprilia?" question...
I generally reply with something along the lines of: "Well you know Ducati?" (they almost always do) "Aprilia is a smaller, rarer, more exotic Italian company. All the performance, sound and looks.... but better"

I'm washing my '98 Superhawk to get the salt and sand off it from trailering it down. Some other guys are there wiping down their new bikes with rags and dry-wash:

Dude, it's gonna rust! We only use this stuff and rags to keep the paint nice.
Yea, well my bike is 6 years old, I wash it a lot, and looks better than yours...no rust. You'll be repainting yours in a few years from that dry-wash.
