Joe Rocket Razor. Would you???

I'm looking at the Joe Rocket Razor 2 piece, retail $314 free shipping. Ttried on one today in a shop and know what size I need. Is it worth it, I know most of you swear by leather, I just wonder is this would serve it's purpose, protecting me in dase of a crash. Would it be okay for a trackday also?

how bout get a fieldsheer jacket and pants instead ? http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/oddsandends.htm theres the jacket , they also have the pants some where , but it should be around the same price as the Joe Rocket Razor 2 piece , maybe like 20 bucks more. I got the jacket and love it , it feels so cozy and I wear it when it's 20 degrees out and go on the highway and its perforated and I still don't feel the cold that much . . . and the air comes tru on the hot days , kinda weird . .

I would guess that suit is just fine. I didn't pay that much more for my Joe Rocket Meteor stuff. It works fine. The 360 degree zipper sounds like a nice feature for a textile jacket, not many have it.

Hey Needabike, aren't you exaggerating a little? I'd love to see you ride on the highway in 20 degree weather in a perforated jacket. Can you spell frostbite? I'm not sure I'd be "OK" with my Joe Rocket suit, heated liner, and my rainsuit over the Joe Rocket suit if it was 20 degrees and I had to be on the highway for a long time.

Nope , I'm not exagerating , I really rode in 20 degree weather one night . . . I was wearing a sweat shirt under my jacket . . . I couldn't feel my legs after . . .

I rode in 17 degree weather at 20 miles an hour, with 3 pairs of joggin pants, two pairs of jeans, 3 long sleeve tees, 2 sweatshrits, a ski jacket, and a thinsulate lined 3/4 leather. I only drove bout 2 miles and it took me 4 hours to get my temp up enough so I could take a cold shower without it feeling like knives in my back

I just looked at the poll, and 75%(6 of you guys+gals) are saying better then nothing, WHY? Is it not a good suit, do you not like Joe Rocket, or are you just pulling it out of your arses? I really want to know what you think of this suit and if you don't like it, just a short reason why. It could be something as simple as 'I don't like anything but cowhide leather', or 'Joe Rockect is crap', or 'Textiles aren't worth the cake', or 'hey man if you think it'll serve it's purpose then you decide'. Don't wanna sound ungrateful just want your input, cause who knows better then all of you.

Well, since you put it that way...
I just don't like Joe Rocket.
I haven't heard anything bad about them.
So, they are better than nothing.

1. don't know nuthin' 'bout the Razor SPECIFICALLY; I don't have one & don't know anyone who does.

2. while I have both textile jacket / pants, $314 is more than I would've paid for both

3. having said that, it looks (from the JR site) like the jacket of the Razor has a lot of the same features as my JR Hard Drive jacket... which I've been very happy with.

I compared a Joe Rocket jacket to the Fieldsheer and found the Fieldsheer to be better all around and cheaper. But it all depends on what you're looking for.

Personnaly , I think you can get a better suit for that price . . or maybe 20-40 bucks more you can get a really good suit ? shop around , I'm sure you can find something.
