Its surprisingly comfortable on the street up to at least 90. There are some vibrations at certain RPMs, but nothing unbearable. Cornering at speed is surprisingly stable for this type of bike. Sometimes I even forget that I'm not on a sport bike when I'm riding through twisties.
Regarding fuel range, I get about 215 to 230 miles per fill up, even with my aggressive throttle hand.
About the only thing close to a complaint I have so far is the seat height. With my 32" inseam, I can't get both feet flat on the ground.
Awesome, you don't miss your monster at all?
:shredder: awesome.
I've been looking at one of these for awhile, and it's on the list for the next streetbike (if I can find a used one for a little less.) I'm just not sure that I would like it better than a "hooligan" machine like another Monster, Speed Triple, or something like that.
I guess if I get one, I'll just have to get a 600 as a dedicated track bike. :naughty
The 800GS doesn't have quite as much torque as the S4R, but I have tons more fun on the BMW. The ergos are much better, the cornering feels avout the same as the Duc, the throttle response is more useable and most importantly, I now look forward to riding dirt and gravel.
