the sv forum... almost everyone reccomends motosliders.. because of the radiator...

I've had them on for years. my last bike I flipped and bounced off the pavement. one of the hits was directly on the frame slider. put a couple little dings in it. took it off and put it on my current bike and it took most of the damage along with my rearsets in a high side that was kinda of like a low side for the bike. they don't stick out very far with the stock bodywork but with thinner track bodywork they're plenty far.
I worry about longer frame slider wanting to bend/break the bolts.
Harris makes some quality sliders...and they have the endurance background to back up the name.

Not to thread jack....but how are the GSG non cut sliders for the d675?
I have a set of woodcrafts, brand new in the box, but I can't get myself to cut into such a beautiful bike. The GSG seem to have a good system avoiding l-brackets and are not cheap (over 200 bucks)

Talk to Peter Kates about frame sliders. While the Motosliders may seem to be good and protect the radiator, they're long.
A longer slider may not be a good thing, as they may cause more damage than they prevent.
(I think PK may know a thing or two about frames and damage.)

It appears to be Brit application only, tho. I watched the install vid for my bike, but it applies to models that seem to be Euro versions. Mine is a ZX900R B4, a US model. The list on their site has no B4 listed. Plus, the vid says to remove the coolant bottle on the left....mine is on the right, etc. The 1998 Ninja marked a new model design and most sites will carry the kits from 98 on...mine's a 97. Looks like the market just isn't there for 97's.
right...might help you in a drop or a low speed fall but the longer they are the easier they can snap...and correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe longer ones could also cause the bike to flip if they stayed intact in a lowside...plus engine mounts can get damaged
