Seems to be a common thread these days, hmm? I left for work at 8am friday morning, and from there to Boston to catch a flight to Philadelphia to visit my girlfriend for the weekend. After a nice weekend, I caught the (delayed) red-eye home, and when I arrived at 1:30 am monday morning I was treated to a delightful surprise. Somewhere over the weekend, some scumbags had come and lifted my 2000 ZX6E from it's usual spot in the parking lot. As if to add insult to injury, they left my '87 EX500 but they STOLE THE COVER OFF OF IT. Yeah, that's right. Apparently the bike was worth less to them than the cover. Ok, so the paint's a little scratched, but c'mon guys, it's a nice bike.
Also gone from the lot was a 199X Superhawk, also stolen sometime this weekend according to the police report. Remaining were what looked to be a brand new sportster, a 200X bandit, and an '03 R1. Little strange that they would yank my 6E and leave the R1...I know the R1 has an alarm system, so maybe that has something to do with it.
So yeah, I'm pissed off. I still have my EX500, it needs some brake work that I've been putting off, guess I'll get to that this weekend since I won't be riding . Insurance wheels are rolling, as soon as I find out how badly they're going to screw me and what time I can expect to receive my screwing, I'll be looking for a new (to me) bike. I'm thinking something late 90's to early 00's, fuel injected would be nice this time...really depends on how much I see from the insurance company...
