Re: Getting ready for the riding season
so what? is it welded on there or something? Put tape on the edges, done.

This thread has made me laugh, and cry, all at someone else's expense. I've shared the good times, the bad, and have been gaining an inconceivable sense that I have more mechanical skills than at least 1 other person on the planet.

Re: Getting ready for the riding season
Tried taking the stock damper off, but I stripped the bolt. It's on there now and I really don't care. I put the bike back together, and it's running fine now. I don't plan on touching another bolt till I change the oil again.
I know the prep work isn't bad, just don't feel like doing anything to the bike for a while, and I don't want to beat on my only bike. If I break it on a track session, then I have no street bike to ride to work & ride around.
