nope...that is illegal. You should still be ok unless they really want to talk to you...the fact it is horizontal helps you out...
edit - i just noticed the hinge dealy you have going on...thats just asking for trouble. criminal charge - concealing the identity of a vehicle kinda trouble... I got charged with that on a friends bike last year and his was a standard undertail mount(there is a thread about it)..... imo if you must have your plate like that...put it on the swingarm..

:stupid:
90/23: Obscuring the number plate with intent to conceal = trip to criminal court
again I don't bust balls about it... I just don't want you to be surprised... that isn't legal in this state... I don't care what the inspection station said... it's obscured from the right side... it's a ticket if someone wanted it to be...
just an FYI... not preachin...
Mike
Re: Guess what IIIII got...
if i drive around with it bent sideways like that its illegal, but not as it is horizontally. and that obscuring thing has nothing to do with the fact of where my plate is. even if it was "where it belongs" it could still be concealable and thus illegal

Dude I'm not arguing... I do this for a living... it's a ball busting thing if you get a ticket... but it is illegal....
I'm not attacking you... just letting you know...

Now you just need to hook it up to a servo-motor so you can electronically retract it while riding with the push of a button to escape the piggiess!!!!
Re: Guess what IIIII got...
not a fan. looks like a damn wing sticking off the side of your bike. Atleast make another hole in the plate and move it in towards the tire more

What the hell do you mean?? That's clearly a blue Yamaha R1...:dunno:
EDIT: Ghost, if I were you, I'd fabricate a bracket for the hugger and mount your plate there. Hang the light over it and you're done.

I had one mounted there on 02 GSXR600. Unbolted it and cut the wires for a track day and never put it back. Couple "L" brackets on the undertail would look much better!

There was NO CHROME on my 600!

Unfortunately all you can tell from the pics is the plate isn't where it was supposed to be. Loved the Yoshi pipe, TRE, Power Commander and -1 gearing but hated those white rims!

Miss that bike though ... almost brought a tear to my eye to see it again.

Maybe you can read this, "3M 3TI8" in the reflection?
Re: Guess what IIIII got...
enjoy your plate as it slices your leg off, if you just happen to crash.
