1997 ZX-9R (sold)
1979 RD400F Daytona Special (sold - i know, i know)

Ok it was me popping the wheelie. I'm busted.
Just kidding. Two wheels ALWAYS!!!!
Yeah I'm a little lost.
All these people on *these* bikes, and none of you have ever done wheelies?
Please.
Nobody is saying go do em up and down the highway at 100+mph. What's worse, a wheelie in 2nd or doing 154mph (assuming both are off the track and on legal roads)?
You can die all sorts of way on these things, even when you're just sitting at the speed limit being a totally perfect angel. Pick your poison.

I think it's fun.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

4- It's fun. Is it ok if I do it where nobody can see me? Who cares who's impressed by it, that's not the point.
And I hear what you're saying about the curb and stuff, I know shit doesn't always work out as planned, you don't have time, whatever (and this goes for everything - any out you have from a given situation *could* fail you at any time).
That being said, I do believe that having MORE options is better than having less. But any skill's value as an option is only as good as your ability to pull it off. So I do think there's an argument in there for practice. Just me though.
For the record, I have not even tried one on the new bike (other than the pothole kinda stuff). Not until it's paid off and I rebuild my gear collection.![]()

I bring the front tire off the pavement occationally but I don't try to ride it. I lift it up and bring it back down. Most of the time when it happens its intentional.I could never hold a wheelie on my 100$ BMX bike when I was a kid so I won't try it out on my 11k$ motorcycle.
I started trying to do wheelies when I was five. Best one was later on a ten speed into my front yard and then the lamp post
tried to hide the damage from my pops .... yea right , he
he kicked my ass. that was the end of my one wheeled adventures.
even with the 1k cbr I might do a power wheelie but thats it.
the odds of crashing are high enough just by being on the road. riding or otherwise.
I'll take these odds : 1 minor accident in 30,000 miles and 1 major crash in 80,000 miles
