Picked up a new '08 Triumph Daytona 675SE from the guys over @ Riverside on Friday. Drove it back to CT & my god is this bike sweet!
Had to be easy on it as it's still in the break-in period (picked it up w/ 2 miles on it!!) but power delivery is smooth, and the bike feels incredibly nimble & well-balanced.
I'll try to get a few pics tonight, but it's the Special Edition w/ the gold wheels & is 100% stock for now.....although....anyone have any suggestions for a slip-on?? I've heard some clips of the Jardine & Two-Bros & those are possibilities.
Can't wait to get a few miles on it & really open it up!
Oh & I had a really great experience with Riverside. Mike & Jerome gave me an excellent deal & I probably don't need to tell any of you, but I'd absolutely refer them anyone in the market for a ride.

Out of all the exhausts I have heard for the 675 the Jardine & 2bros definitely sound best imo so they are both good choices for sure...enjoy the new ride
Congrats... I personally love the sound of my TBR slip on, and have heard clips of the Jardine which also sounds great.
Another one? WTF? I'm going to have to get a Honda to be different around here soon
Congrats on the new ride!
I did a TON of reading last week before I picked it up & I was on the fence about using this break-in method. Also did alot of reading on Triumph675.net.

I just couldn't bring myself to do it though...something about a brand new bike & flogging the shit out of it didn't sit right w/ me even though plenty of people had great results
black and gold ftw... when i was thinking about getting a 675 i was planning on getting the leo vince full system... There's a couple vids of it on youtube, sounds spectacular.
But for a slip on I think the Jardine sounds nice, as well as the TBR. I'd save up for the full system though...
And to add to the discussion about break-in methods, motoman method makes sense and some car salesmen have told me that the easy break in is the manufacturer's way of insuring that the service department will make money (basically saying that it decreases the life of the motor, and makes problems occur sooner). Whether he was just BS'ing me or not I don't know... I think the most important is just to vary the RPM's a lot- both methods tell you to do this so obviously that's a must.

I had the TBR on mine. It is loud and sounds awesome. Jardine is a little quieter, has a full midpipe, but brings big $$.
Congrats. You will love the bike.
I got it, just no need to respond when I ride kawis...but ya I thought someone would respond to that instantly ehe
yes, it's official: i hate you
(i don't really, but watch your back for a kid wearing a ninja jumpsuit waiting to blackjack you and steal your bike...
not that that'd be me or anything)

Nice buy!
The SE is a hot looking bike.
this bike is in my future
I have the same bike(SE), and bought it from the same dealer...I put on the Triumph Gel seat, helibars, and did the fender eliminator. Love it so far.
Orgin, I'd have no problem with you sitting on my bike. I just don't usually do the newbury st. thing, but not against it.

The TBR comes with a fender eliminator kit. Once you get the slip-on have the dealer turn on the TOR map. You'll be shocked how much the stock muffler weighs. Enjoy it.
