Sticking a Blast motor in the XB chassis sounds like a great idea. A friend and I were talking about sticking an XR600 motor in an XB frame. The XB frame is really well built and a single would rock in that chassis.
It would be pretty much impossible to do a superbike build with a Blast. If you did, you would pretty much have to entirely rebuild the frame while somehow staying within the superbike rules.
In reality, to build anything it would have to be within the GP catagory, and even still you have a serious weight issue with the motor.

No such rule restrictions to worry about when the resulting bike is powered by a single cylinder. 1 lunger == Anything Goes.

I don't have my rule book with me, but you are saying that they don't have to have the original frame?

Correct, singles generally speaking have no displacement limits, no build restrictions, and can run just about any class. Only SS has restrictions on singles, and only holding them to the same rules as other SS bikes outside of engine/carb/airbox restrictions.

Prior to this year 'GP' bikes were excluded from SB but CCS has lifted that restriction. Haven't heard if LRRS is going to follow or not yet, but that would be the one thing that could block very specific single cylinder engine/frame combos in ULSB.
