die thread die!!!!!
Yup, I went out at 5:30 or so last Sunday, though I didn't actually get on the road until 6:30. I had the bike parked in a friend's backyard and didn't bank wide enough when I leaving the gate - I ended up getting stuck!! I couldn't go forward because I'd banked so badly, but the bike was too heavy for me to back up on a grassy uneven surface. I had to call a friend to come help me back the bike up. Again, it was 6:00 AM. Doh.
In my defense, the guy who delivered the bike told me it was gonna be a rough angle.
Dealership people ride bikes?
This thread has gone, and is going NOWHERE!!
Greater Boston Motor Sports has been really awesome. At first I felt like I had to jump up and down to actually convince them that I was gonna buy a bike (they didn't always return phone calls, give me an education about gear, etc.) but once I said something about it to the manager, Barry, they've been great. Barry took me out for thirty miles on my bike the day I bought it, they delivered it free of charge, they've looked up additional products that they thought I might want, etc. Barry and the BMW salesman (Bill McGowan) have both called me to see if I need anything, and Barry offered to arrange bike lessons for me on Saturday.
geez... u guys are slacking... if this had been me, you already would have jumped all over this beat it to death and then brought it back to life just to beat it down again... :)
hmmm, I'm sure Barry and Bill are nice guys, but .....
I also think the are very good saleman, sold you a bike that is above your level (at least according to weigh), offer to HOOK you up with gears and lessons.
Greater Boston Motor Sports, I think I'll avoid dealing with them.
sounds like Jennay knows how to get the kind of customer service that she wants.... why shit on her parade?
sorry, didn't mean to imply anything on jennay.
I just think that a good dealer should sale what you need, not what you or they want.
Typical bike dealer, Doesn't return calls, not interested in selling you anything or talking to you till you sign a paper..:mope: Sounds like Sky Cycles..
You do realize the F650 is BMW's entry level bike right? It's not like they sold her a K1200R :poke:
So she had trouble in an AWKWARD SITUATION... it's not like she dropped her gixxer 600 fifty times :twofinger
When was the last time you tried backing your bike up on an uneven grassy surface? It ain't easy.
