As we all know the economy sucks and I’m doing my part by spending some cake on the bike. That leads me to this thread. I would rather throw my hard earned dollars at someone I know rather than some random website. That being said, I know there are a bunch of people who either work at or own shops and I want you to have my money. Here’s a list of the things I want, if you can fill it let me know how much and we can work out the details.

the 520 will offer performance benefits, but your chain'll go quickly, particularly if you're heavy on the throttle (how can you not be, mr. 1000cc twin )

That's what I'm saying. I've read a ton about it and people say a lot on both sides. A lot of the people that have it say the wear is not as big of a deal that that people make it out to be. Marc makes a ton more power than me and made the recommendation, so I'm gonna give it a whirl.

for the SV (if you cruise the SV forums and from personal experience) the PC3 really doesnt up the HP like most bikes. the 3HP that you might gain isnt worth the $300. if it were the usual 10% gain that you get from jet kits and whatnot then maybe...$300 is still a lot for that though. i will say that after visting Mark with mine and an hour or so of fucking with it...he/we were able to get rid of some the on/off switch of the throttle at or below parking lot speeds. less lurching. if just smoothing things out is what you want then go for it. if youre hoping for even moderate HP gains then forget it. same goes for a K&N...the stock filter on that bike is really good. when it comes time to change the filter then by all means get one for reuseability only.
