    Power Commander - great deal

think i got it.... from the PC website:

"The PCIII EX offers virtually the same tuning functionality as our “race only” Power Commander line, while at the same time complying with the California ARB regulations. "

    Power Commander - great deal

    Do it...
I think a PC 3 is excellent addition even with an off the shelf
    map.

You don't want an EX. To comply with California emissions, it locks out low RPM tuning. (It may also block low throttle opening adjustments across the board, I'm not 100% on that though.)

If you're going to get a Power Commander, do yourself a favor and find a local DynoJet tuning center. Getting your machine dialed in on the dyno will beat a packaged map, even if it's been 'tweaked' for your setup every time. Even between two identical bikes, maps will differ slightly, add in varitions in tolerances, riding style, etc and pre-packaged maps are about as good as 'suggested jetting,' close but not perfect.

Note - Many shops will do package deals on PC3's and a full map.

+1 on Fuel Moto. Cheapest on the net and they install the mapping for whatever you got.
