In our general area I know of
3 ktm dirt bikes
which have been stolen in the last month
Off the street in broad daylight
Out of a truck bed in broad daylight
Out of a shed time unknown
Heads up Orange Riders
The calculus of hate
It is not that I should win it is that you should lose
It is not that I succeed it is that you fail
It is not that I should live it is that you should die
Even thieving rats want the best. Thanks for the heads up.
My KTM RC8r was stolen last fall (2013) in Boston from my locked, condo garage with security cameras and a 24 hour on site concierge. I know all too well about orange loss. Still haven't completely recovered. Lol

super shitty...out here in socal, a dude brought his new (still making payments) ktm to the desert, and it was stolen overnight from camp!
I figure anything dirt only (no comprehensive insurance) needs to be locked up...multiple times if you can...per the reddit article, just make it seem like it's a pita so they'd move on
if on the truck bed it's tough...I would suggest lock straps through the handlebars and a chain lock through the rear wheel or frame w' a disc lock on the rear brake rotor
