...it is NOT a good idea to go riding angry and hungover. Enclosing that anger inside a helmet with no place to escape but through the throttle...I did some things that I should not have, but, I did make it home a few hundred miles and three states later...safely!!
I thought that was what you are supposed to do when you're pissed?![]()
Well that explains my riding style![]()

Heck I make it a point not to ride even with music. I noticed music can get me psyched up to challenge my skill limits and make me think I'm immortal. Not exactly the place for that. Emotion kills my concentration.
Sounds like your taking your own advice over that anger thing..

I agree stong emotions can get you in trouble. Plus its known that adreneline alone is not a good athlete make...
I have heard that Rossi's heart rate during a race is only slightly over his resting rate.
Relaxed body and mind are your best friends out in the wild world of cagers and lamp posts.
I've been in my worst bicycle accidents while trying to screw some mother who cut me off. Luckily I've so far resisted doing the same on my motorbike.
Did you get a ticket? Like I did yesterday![]()
No...but if I was caught...I would probably have bruises on my wrist from the cuffsOriginally posted by dave72370

I caught myself doing triple the limit and passing everything and anything...anywhere!!
Yup... not the best idea, that's for sure... Glad you make it home safe, Janey baby, if anything happened to ya....
Neither is riding after attending a gang bang with clowns, midgets and enough Mojito's to kill an elephant.
But seriously.... the clowns will get you in a load of trouble.

I was so hung over one day that the twisties made me nauseous. I can't imagine throwing up inside of one's helmet would be a pleasureable experience. How difficult it is to balance one's life with the booze and the bike and the bitches.

I couldn't imagine riding really hung over.
As for riding angry... I agree 100% that it's not a very wise thing to do, at least for me. I get a very agressive and a strong throttle hand when I'm upset.
Some people can ride away the anger and use their bike as therapy.
I used to think that way, and it does work... as long as you don't get into trouble early in the ride.
For now... I'll stick to riding when I have a level head.
I'm glad you made it home safely.

When I get really pissed off the first thing I do is grab my helmet and ride, but I seriously calm down the second my ass hits the seat. It doesn't matter what is going on, the bike will always relax me. I've only ridden hung over once, and it wasn't even fun. Left my driveway, drove about two miles and turned around. Anger affects people differently, glad to hear you made it home OK.
hehehehe, too bad TLRMan and Bemused aren't around here often, they'll tell you bout the time I went riding w/ them SUPER hungover... I was fine while we were movin, but the second we stopped... uhhhg. Thought I was gonna yack.
