License Plate Location

so... I will be riding in Amherst, MA area with an out-of-state license plate. I have never had any problems with it in my home-city Anchorage, but then again I don't ride like an asshole (on the streets). Also, my blinkers aren't exactly DOT either.
What can the local/staties do to an out of state registered/insured Motorcycle with a license plate like this? It's not like I get the bike "inspected" in the state. Not necessary in Alaska.

They can pull you over at the very least, dunno if they can really do much more than that?

If you get a ticket in Mass I doubt it will go on you Alaska insurance or mess with points on your license.

YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY IT THOUGH... because if you don't pay it and you get pulled over in Mass again (even in your car) they will haul your ass off to for driving with out a license.

what are the typical tickets associated with these mods/riding? and costs? does it vary between towns or counties?? I dont know how this bureaucratic state works!

If you're that concerned about it, just the fracking plate where it's supposed to go. Otherwise, take the ticket, and pay it.

If you don't plan on changing it to meet guidelines
you'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure many here
have been pulled over for infractions such as these.

Just a word to the wise if you don't want the hassle, Relocate your plate. Right or wrong they will stop you 'cause they can't read it. Also make sure it's illuminated.

I was told by a state cop that if he sees plates like this he arrests the offender for obstruction but i dont know if that counts for out of state plates.

The more I think about it, while I don't believe you can get tagged for an inspection infraction, they can and likely will nail you for obstruction or similar for trying to conceal your plate. Doesn't matter if you haven't been busted for it in Alaska yet or not (as it's likely illegal there as well, you've just been lucky).

Put it in a visible spot and light it, problem solved.

i believe its a 35 dollar fine in mass, dont go to hampton beach, 155 dollar fine up there

well my buddy got that along with a speeding ticket, my ticket was 350 and just speeeding, his was 385 with the plate violation
