half-anniversary gift ever!!! A 2003 Honda CR125.... WOHOO!!! I get it tomorrow hopefully... A little bit of work to be done to it, but then this spring will be great! Keith gets the quad and I get the dirt bike. On and off road here we come!!!

Youll have more fun on that dirt bike then he will on the quad. You can go many more places. Get is registered and we will have to get Kates to have a newbie ride this spring.

I started out on dirt... There's not a whole lot else out in oklahoma... curvy roads...? People in oklahoma don't know what curvy roads look like. All there is out there is long straight highways... bleck... I moved for a reason.

Well since you can ride already you have more choices. Something like the honda 230F would be a nice friendly bike. Thats what Athena has. You would probably be fine on a 125 2stroke like a YZ125 or a CR125 or the KTM. Im on a YZ125 and I suck at dirt riding. Kates has a Ktm and he rocks it.

We did start Dennis on a YZ426. However he was a pansy and needed me to start it for him.

ah, I was wondering if the 230 four strokes had enough get up and go to be fun. For me anything bigger than that is way too tall.

230 has plenty of go. You only need to do about 20mph on most new england trails! It would seem a little flat on a motocross track, but it would still be plenty fun.

The 125 2-strokes are MX racebikes, and I'm not sure that they are a great learning option for the newbie. They have stiff chasis/supension and really peaky power. A load of fun when you can use it, as intended (WOT), but a bit perplexing when you are not.

It's possible to learn on anything as we all know, but the playbikes are far and away the easiest to learn on.

I'm not raining on your parade gixxerchic. A CR 125 is an awesome ride and like most Hondas actually quite flexible in it's uses. Have fun!

I still got a pair of a* tech 8's that i am looking to giveaway. I never could ride with dirtbike boots. They are still up for grabs as far as i know so if anyone is interested PM me. they are size 12 and a little dirty but free i feel is a fair price!

Oh yeah, I'm with ya on the affordability of the 2 strokes. Both my dirtbikes are 2-strokes and someone with a little experience should adapt to the 125quickly.

here are some pictures. The bike needs a good amount of work and it is a 2003 not a 2005, but not a big deal, i couldn't beat the price. I will throw the updates into the build thread i have fo the quad and just re-name it to something like, "I am a stupid retard and am gonna go broke fixing these stupid things build"

When I met my wife I was riding a Ducati. I bought a house and sold the bike. Long story short, she bought me my FZ6 as a wedding present, taking pity on me for not having a bike for a couple of years. Sure beats the bed I bought her! At least I get to share the bed
