    Looking for a sidecar

I know this is odd but does anyone know someone looking to get rid of their sidecar? It's a longshot but I figured what the hell, no harm in asking. I'm looking for a sidecar, either just the sidecar or with it attached to a bike. Obviously I'm looking for this only if the price is right but they are hard to find. Got any leads for me?

    Re: Looking for a sidecar

If it's just the sidecar then my KLR650. Obviously if its the whole bike and sidecar then I would just leave it attached but a smart guy like you already knew that

    Got one?

I actually just saw a guy pulling one out to his front yard with a fs sign right between derry cycles and the white church on crystal ave. I could get his number and take a few pics If you don't feel like riding all the way down to derry.

    Yeah. His are fantastic.
I've always liked em but I have a reason to have one now so it would be cool and the wife likes the idea too. It's just finding one for the "right price". I'm not exactly sure what that price is yet but I have a feeling that I'm gonna be hitting the credit card for a new sectional if I get one. Not that I can realyl afford either but you only live once right?

    Re: Looking for a sidecar

If you attach it to your KLR keep in mind you will probably end up wanting to get new triple trees to modify the fork accordingly for side car use.

You don't necessarily have to do this.. and the results seem to vary depending on what the bike's geometry was to begin with, but most people seem to mod the fork angles.

I drove a sidecar rig that had not had the forks done yet and it was pretty horrible to drive. (Note I said drive, not ride)

To me that would push me towards buying an entire completed rig.

I would much prefer to buy a complete rig and am talking to a guy in RI but he seems to be just out of my price range. I'll let ya know how it goes.
