Hmm... you might be on to something here. Two hours there and two hours back mean that I either need to work a half day, or not go at all. Hmm...Originally posted by lopycam

Nathan- You put your location as Cow Hampster like you live in a rural part of the state!

Not yet, but soon. The TL will be sold as of July 9. Once I have a check in hand, I'll start shopping. Once I actually buy it, I'll definitely have to make a trip up there.Originally posted by lopycam

Yup.
I'm just curious when one of you/us sportbike riders who are out shopping for cruisers will latch onto one of those new Triumph Rocket III's. Since we like performance, how about 147ft./lbs of torque, about 1.5 times what a 1800 Honda Valkyrie puts out.
I am very curious. The statement (true, mind you) that it will leave a stock Hayabusa in it's mirrors until you hit 105mph, pulling 1.2g's acceleration. This, all with stock pipes, FI map, and that low 8.5:1 compression in the 2300cc triple with shaft drive.
And apparently, it wheelies OK too. Not bad for a $15,995 list.

Those new Triumph Rocket III's are beasts! I saw two of them at Weirs beach during bike week.. Curious how they handle?
I need to get myself a nice cruising bike to replace one of my sport bikes. The Warrior sounds like something I might like..

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
Beasts, but repotedly handle better than any other cruiser, and has great brakes. The reviews I read mentioned soft suspenders, but aren't all cruisers set up like that? All reports are that they feel and handle much lighter than their 680lb weight.
Why didn't you ride one while you were at Weir's Beach? Triumph brought 7 of them to John's Corvette Service at 1290 Union Ave. The bikes were there so people could RIDE them! I believe Great Bay Cycles in North Hampton NH has one or two for test rides. I'd say WTF, ride one before buying anything else.
BTW, I was perusing the Triumph site today, and was shocked at the long list of available accessories they already have for it.
