To put bike away or not?!?

It's starting to get cold, but I'm thinking that if I start the bike every other day for the rest of fall and the winter time, and take it out around the block on nice days, hopefuly 1ce a month in the wintertime I really dont need to put it away for good and do the winterizing thing. It'll be sitting in my garage when i'm not gonna be using iit.... Hopefully i can get at least 1 day a month to just ride it for 15-20 mins...

What do you guys think?

some people do that. nothing wrong with that. warm or ride once a week should be enough and keep the tank fill.

Don't start the bike unless you intend to ride it for more than 20 minutes. Warming it in on the side stand isn't very good for it and it'll be better off just sitting.

I don't Winterize my bikes. I ride them now and then and have no troubles. I use isopropyl based gas line antifreeze and always top off the tank at the end of each ride to thwart condensation and the rust it creates in the bottom of the gas tank.

What he said. There's a very long list of reasons why that isn't a good idea. Unless you can ride it and get it up to normal operating temps for say, 15-20 minutes a coupla times a month, I'd take precautions and 'winterize it. It doesn't take much time or money to do, but the piece of mind you may get is priceless...
