Was looking into starting up a subscription for a motorcycle magazine, but heard most of the US ones are trash.. What mags do you guys get/recommend?
49 states do it one way, and Massachusetts does it their own way.
I like Cycle World for the Kevin Cameron articles and monthly column.
I prefer motorcyclist. They seem to have a better coverage of bikes and riding styles. Sport rider seems to be the same gsxr 600/1000 article every month.
I have Motorcyclist and Sport Rider on the back of my throne. I think I got one sub for free and the other for like $5. I would not pay a lot for either.
Motorcyclist is a lot more my speed. Sport Rider isn't quite non-stop gixxah, but it is close.
Both are entertaining though.

Rider. All the rest are pretty typical LATEST 600 SHOOTOUT.
Like MC Consumer News too, but the pricing last time I checked was over double that of Rider.
2021 KTM Duke 890 R
2020 BMW R1250GS Adventure Exclusive
1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport
+1 on Motorcycle Consumer News.
You get the most-excellent Ken Condon articles. If he writes something you like or disagree with you can ping him here and he can ignore you.
Or you can mosey down to the Twisted Throttle Open House, go to a Tony's Track Day (I think) and talk with him directly.
Lots of other well-written, well- edited articles, and definitely NOT swaying toward whichever company bought the two double-truck ads this month.
2021 Triumph Street Triple R, Sapphire Black
All of the US based mags stink (except MCN as mentioned above). I do like Kevin Cameron's articles, but outside of his...meh. If you want entertaining reading, snag a sub to one of the Brit magazines. Top notch articles and...bewbies!
Glossy magazines are no longer for buying. They are for browsing with coffee at the bookstore.
Their content is always outdated, so they don't really provide news. Comparisons and opinion columns are interesting, but not worth paying for.
I know I'm contributing to their demise, but the world changes.
Information has become essentially free. Paying for 3 month old information just doesn't make sense to me.
I get Roadracingworld, MotorCyclist, SportRider and CycleWorld. These are pretty redundant, except Roadracingworld...which I love.
Keep checking this forum, a few times a year someone will post up a link to a free subscription...thats how i get mine, Roadracingworld I pay for.

all good points, but i don't care to tote my laptop or tablet onto the throne with me. i don't mind having a $1 paper magazine sitting next to the porcelain. i walk up, and it's sitting right there, waiting. i don't have to remember to bring anything in with me, and i don't have to worry about poo fingers on the keyboard or touch screen.
oh, as to the OP: i like http://www.fastbikesmag.com/ i would love to have a subscription to a Brit mag, but at $10 an issue, it's not happening.
