What does this mean?

I was out for a ride today and as I was riding through some slow moving traffic. I saw a guy on a supersport headed my way. His first gesture was to hold his clutch hand (closest to me) up in the air towards 1 or 2 o'clock. Next he crouched in and held the same hand as close to the ground as he could get. What was that about? Did he want me to wheelie? Is it the cool new sportbiker wave? Was he just stretching?
