Minor Filing

So I went to register the GSXR this morning and everything went well until when they asked me if I had special minor filing on my insurance since I am under 18 and registering a motorcycle. I had already gotten this PITA insurance for my KLR so I figured that it was a one time deal....WRONG. So minor filing takes a week to get filled out and I can't even get a temp until I get that on my policy. The thing that really bugs me is guess what minor filing covers? It covers the fact that when I hit someone in another vehicle and kill them that they can't go after my parents house. How friggin ludicrous is that? when was the last time that you heard of someone crashing into a car and killing the person in the car?!?!?!?!

DMV sucks.

Really want to write a letter to the state govt telling them how absurd this is, especially considering that in under 2 months I will be 18 and won't need this...but i have to have it for my MSF Instructor course which starts March 28th, which is 8 days before I turn 18.

Unfortunately it's really not all that absurd... it's happened before & it'll eventually happen again. Sucks but it's true.

Never underestimate a 400lb motorcycle's ability to quickly become a 400lb projectile. (not to mention what'll become of you )

Haha thanks guys. I guess the annoying part is that i had already gotten it for another bike, and the fact that I had to get it twice was kinda dumb. And the fact by the time riding season really comes around i will be 18 and that insurance won't matter anymore...
