Those of you who were at the dyno day know about my rear tire.![]()
Got a D208 ZR which was promptly scrubbed in this afternoon.I need to get a new front tire on as well. As far as I can tell Dunlop no longer makes front tires in the series I need (120/65/17). They only have the 60 and the 70 series.
Would I be better off picking up a 70 series Dunlop front or get a 65 Series from somebody else? I know you're not supposed to mix & match but it's only for street riding.![]()
Metz M1 $92
Michelin Pilot Sport $121
70 series D208 $93

That tire should be a 120/70 17". I would not mixmatch tread patterns. Get the 208 front. Outside of being a very capable set of hoops 208's are also some of the least expensive tires out there.

The 65's are stock and what Kawasaki recommends in the manual.Originally posted by Rye

You should have no problem putting a 70 series front on there. You might want to raise the forks through the tripples to account for the larger radius though.
Ordered the dunlop. Thanks for the info.![]()
