How'd you convince her? I need some tips haha.
49 states do it one way, and Massachusetts does it their own way.
Guess I'm lucky, my mom rides her own bike.

That's nice! My mom hates my bike. She thinks only young and single guys should ride not married and had kids like me![]()
Haha, nice. My dad was my first passenger... Went down to the local high school parkin lot for a little two up practice about 6 months after I started riding. He loved it.
Then a few years ago I took him out on the Tuono after pulling it outta winter storage. Went for a little back road cruise. When my gas light went on I told him I was gonna take the highway to the gas station & asked him if he wanted me to open it up a little on the on-ramp Took a little convincing but he agreed. We did 30-90mph in about 5 seconds while trying to keep the front wheel down![]()
When we got to the gas station he pulled his helmet off, had a big smirk & said "Uh... yeah... little bit of power, huh?"![]()
I asked him if he wanted to do it again and he just said "No no.... that's... alright"![]()

After 30+ thousand miles of riding my Mom still gives me crap about the bike.
The interesting twist is now she wants to know when I'll take her for a ride![]()

My mom and dad bought me a 3HP Tecumseh-powered Montgomery Ward minibike when I was 7. The fact that I'm still riding does not surprise my mom, but I think she may regret the minibike...
That's really cool that your mom went for a ride and it was nice/smart of you to give her gear to wear.
You need to bend your elbows. Concentrate on keeping your arms loose and hold yourself up with your back and abs. It's MUCH more comfy, allows vastly superior control, and keeps your hands and wrists from hurting/going numb, even on 500 mile days.
Ya if we crash id rather have me be the one going in to get a skin graph than her lol
i knew someone was going to get on me about my posture.. ha i wasnt even in gear i had the clutch in and we were just rolling bye so my dad could grab some pics. dont wanna be all loose then ha

At the time I got my license my mother was riding an '84 GL1100 'wing.
Never had her as a passenger, but I did have my dad. His Harley broke down in Wells one Sunday afternoon. We pushed it behind the fire station. Firemen are shockingly receptive to Harleys and more than willing to help by letting you park your HD behind their station until you can get a truck up there Monday AM. I offered dad the reigns to his, then my Honda Hawk 400. He declined and volunteered to ride bitch. We did ~35 miles down 9 and 4 through Dover like that. Felt like two clowns on a minibike.
Maybe someday I'll get mama-in-law out. That'd probably knock her socks off.
