So I need:
Bike ... 6500
1300 dollar kit is what wheels and ???
Miscellaneous licensing stuff ... under a hundred bucks.
What tire size does it take ... wouldn't happen to be 160 rears and 120 fronts would they ... that would be too good to be true!
Anything I am missing?
It does have the power range I am looking for without my cracking the motor and making things bigger in there.
160 rear and 120 front is what I use.
KTM has 2 full supermoto kits, and I can tell you what extra parts you'll need just to make the change over faster. I can change mine from full dirt to full street in 20 minutes:hellyeah:
Supermoto track kit
Part # U6907.847
.Probend grinder hand guards
.axle sliders
.320mm brake disk and caliper support (uses stock caliper)
.front fender (they suck though, trust me)
.front rim 3.5x16.5" wheel (polished) ( I think you can change to a 17") front)
.rear 5x17" non damped (polished)
$1,224.99
Supermoto Racer kit
part # U6907.848
.Brembo hand brake
.probend grinder hang guards
.axle sliders
.footpeg sliders
.310mm brake disc
.4 piston caliper
.catch tank
.front fender
.3.5x16.5" front wheel (black)
.5x17" rear, non damped (black)
$1,874.99
Extras to make the swap easy..
. another stock sized rear sprocket (the stock gearing is perfect for the woods and the streets IMO)
. stock rear brake rotor (both the sprocket and rear rotor are just time savers, you don't NEED tham)
. An extra speedometer, you'll need the one calibrated for the 17" wheels for it to be acurate, not a big deal for some but I like to keep acurate track of miles for fuel range and whatnot.
. If you go with the race kit, you'll need a extra front brake line so you can leave both the dirt and motard system complete, it saves you from bleading them every time you make the change:D
Motard - Which One and Why?
Lot of stuff to think about here.
Thank you everyone for the time you took to explain this to me.
This is probably going to happen around March or April ...
unless I come across a deal I can't refuse.
