Lost the front end today on the ZX-9R doing around 50 when I went down... new tire and it was not warmed up like I thought...of course now it has turned out to be a gorgeous afternoon to ride in...figures.
Bike is 80% with a fair amount of cosmetic damage and a little bit of Anti-freeze leaking out.
Markbvt showed up with his dad in the car, I asked him for a hug, he shook my hand instead. Took car of me till BlueEyes got there.
Thing that sucks is that I was heading to the Base, and not the 10 min after I wrecked, the Safety Officer for the Unit (Vermont Air National Guard) shows up. Had a sit down with my commanders that was real nice.
So things should be ok, rashed up the jacket pretty good (Icon Automag) didn't blow any seams.
My Icon Pants with the Aramid knees let me down though...wore right through to my knee, which got a few layers of skin taken off, but just an area bout the size of a silver dollar, held up well though for sliding down the road. Gloves are thrashed. Helmet is good.
Not bad all 'n all, cept my one in a million Titanium Yoshimura Slip on is banged up too...she'll live to ride again. I will try to slow down a bit.

It pays to play.
Ride fast,
You will get farther before it is over!
Ahhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!

Glad your up and typing.
Time to lower those tire pressures some, pavements getting colder by the day.

sorry bro, heal up.
Your one charity collection for the year is used up!
At least you are not seriously injured.
Those safety nazi's in the military can be a bitch but don't let em get you down.
Save up for a pitbike and get all that out of your system at the track!
Really glad your ok dude.

+1 on the glad to hear you're okay, and let us know if you need help getting stuff back together.
pray to GOD you were wearing that reflective strap!!
damn, sorry to hear that man/glad you are ok. My dad was just telling me a guy at his work went down going into work last friday. Ironic cuz he went down on highway where they were resurfacing, hit a huge/bad bump and dumped it...so happens the company redoing that road is where they work![]()

Yea, I got a bad "crashing every bike I've had" habit...thought I would be done with it by now...
+2
Thanks Doc!
If I was wearing it, I would have been much safer!
Again, thanks for the love ya'll. NESR is the best medicine other than advil. Ill be getting the bike back tomorrow, still rideable, no worries, but she needs some TLC. Another winter project, fantastic.
Thats why I bought another one anyway right?

Glad you're ok. Let me know if I can help.
btw, i agree with doc's pit bike idea. but i think you should just ride that everywhere because you're only a few inches off the ground for the next time you go down. j/k
You animal...time to let up a notch or two
glad you're ok, and that I wasn't there to see it...AGAIN.
Damn mental images burnt into my head, I'll never be right again![]()
