Hey guys,
Picking up a new leftover 2008 CBR 1000rr tomorrow morning and figured i'd join this site.
I had a few bikes over the past few years (2003 636 and 2006 GSXR600) but cars became my priority so I gave up the sport.
Anyways, with the current deal dealerships are giving on the leftover 2008 1000rr's, I couldn't resist. I ended up paying $7600 OTD before TAX for those wondering.
Looks like a great site, and look forward to learning more about bikes. Maybe even a few rides during this Summer.
Unfortunately, I didn't even pick up the bike yet so this is all I have for a picture

Wait, Wut...
Welcome!
Welcome to the shark tank, I got my balls busted pretty good for my new bike. However its all in good fun though, its your choice what you want to push into the redline so just twist it. Anyway as an avid Suzuki rider I am saying congrats on the CBR and ride safe!![]()

If you're real then welcome.
You sold your 636? We can never be friends
ok maybe..
welcome and you'll never use all that power
nice choice(my 08 is silver) where'd ya get it from?
I went to Naults Honda in Manchester NH
The only other 2008 I could find was at Champion Honda in Hicksville, NY, but it was Yellow, and was under deposit.
Hoping it warms up some over the next couple weeks so I can start riding it to see if it's an oil burner or not!
Unfortunately, it's like the lottery with the 2008's.
heh, I got mine @ Nault's as well last year, mine blew a fork seal in the first 3 miles of riding...just keep an eye on em, since the bikes have been sitting for awhile some of that stuff has dried up.
Good luck otherwise...and I wouldn't worry about the oil burning stuff...all my newer Honda's have burned on breakin (uncluding my Honda car and suv) , it's just a question of how long breakin really goes on for. Once breakin is over and things are seated - life is good.
Well that's reassuring.
Are you local to them? They seemed to talk very highly of the Lowell bike nights, ever been?
b-e-a-utiful bike!
Corey
I'm just listing my experiences, they've been pretty good with Honda and I - guess I am fortunate and hopefully you'll be the same.
I'm not close to them at all (Central Ma. here) and bike nights aren't really my thing. But, I have heard great things about the Lowell Motorcycle night, and Steve and Heather (I believe are the key organizers names) actually have a section on this forum that they post up all their event info in. They seem to have a good thing there that is well run.

I called noel yesterday just to hear his voice.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
