So we went for an awesome ride out to our camp this weekend!
He's been on all my bikes since I started riding in 05...the R6, 6R, 9R, and I would have let him ride the Ape today, but he didn't want to.
We did about 200 miles yesterday and today combined, and he did great. To sweeten the ride, I figured we hit 17 on the way home...soild. The kid is on track to be a very good rider, and he is a smart, aware, and not a speed freak.
He's got his riders test on Aug. 18th and we are going to get him into an ERC soon!

Cool, dude. Good luck
(give the BRC some thought, too... it's not just riding skills, it's street survival strategy... the mental stuff.)

congrats on the actual permit and good luck on the test!
My friend is in the same position as your brother. He did really well this past weekend, but is still going to take the BRC for the "survival skills". And hey, any seat time with people watching over/critiquing you is good for you in the long run. And you can't beat that insurance discount!

I would recommend the brc over the erc.
Gratz to him though.
Cool, congrats to Garrett. +1 on the BRC instead of the ERC.
