Hoping someone out there can help me out. Trying to get some info for Mark about getting his motorcycle endorsement on his license (using a 30 day permit at the moment, but needs to get his endorsement this week). We are pretty much trying to figure out the cost. I have looked online, no answers. Have attempted to call every DMV in the state and I either get an answering machine with no prompt to speak to a real, live human being and the one in Concord is constantly busy.![]()
I read somewhere (not the DMV website) that in NH, if you pay the $37 fee to get your permit that you need only pay an additional $5 once you go to get the real endorsement. Does this sound right? Or would he have to pay the $37 again once he passes the test? Somehow the $5 thing just seems too good to be true... any help would be great.
Thanks!![]()
I **think** that's right.
A friend of mine did that last year and if I'm remembering it right that was the story.

I don't recall the numbers but the majority of the money is paid up front for the permit.
Ok... I FINALLY got through to someone at the NH DMV today and was told that once someone pays for the permit that there is NO additional cost once you past the test to get the bike endorsement on your license. Gee, and this only took me how long to find out? Thanks for the info everyone. Seems we were all on the right track, just slightly off.
