Alright I helped a friend of mine find her first bike, ended up getting a used 2012 Ninja 250.
Shes complained about it for a while but I never experianced the issue until yesterday so i though it was rider error (oops) Intermitently it will start idle fine but if you give it any throttle at all it dies almost instantly.
If you put the choke on it will run fine, once warmed up on the choke for a few minuted the issue goes away. Funny thing is it happens randomly, I experianced it yesterday when it was 95 degrees out, let the bike idle for 30 seconds and it still would die.
I'm pretty sure its a carb issue of some sort but I know very little about them
Looking for a few ideas as to what to check out first.

Maybe the pilot jets or another area of the carb? My 01 had similar issues. Sounds like it needs a hydrosonic clean.
jets are plugged or partially plugged. Common issues with small jets and Ninja 250's Clean the carbs and it should be all set.
