$305 a yr. in NH,, full coverage, 100/300. In NH the med seems to be capped at 5K though, which seems kinda dumb.

Bike is an 04 ZZR1200. No driving record,, well, all beyond 7 yrs.

The prices I'm reading amaze me...

    I pay ~$3300 a year...
    $1200 is for the cbr1k
$100 is comp only on the 600...
Rest vehicles... (mind you I have a $1000 deductible to keep my rates lower... I have 12 traffic violations too many

CBR, I would suggest you shop around, but with 12 violations it may not help,,, Dont bother with State Farm though, they suck.

    2011 Triumph Tiger 800

Full collision, fire & theft coverage (comprehensive) from National Grange Mutual, $500 deductible, $50K/$100K liability. When I took out the policy I was rated a "1" for MA SDIP (one 5 year old speeding ticket remaining on my record, comes off this year.) My cost is $569.

e30addict, I want to know which company you're insured with and what your deductible is! I'd like to see what they'd hit me.

For just my bikes I pay 1700. That's for a 2010 streetfighter and an 07 SV. It seems high, but not crazy.

That seems dirt cheap for what it is. When I tried quoting through Progressive they would only quote 6 month increments, and the numbers looked similar. That for a year?

Yea. It's relatively new on my mobile device and can't ever remember the damn key combination. One of them is screen shot and a very similar one is force reboot. Unfortunate when I get the wrong one.

Yep that's for the year. It was actually a little less before I sold my other bike .

Of course I'm old, and my bike isn't technically a sport bike.

I had a friend from Eastern Europe that bought a Ducati in mass a few years ago. Her first quote on insurance was like $2700 for 6 months, and this was about 4 years ago.

    NH resident.... $464/yr. w/ Allstate for 2002 Ducati 998.
250k/500k liability, $250 comp and $500 collision deductibles.

cbr-chick-nh... who is your coverage with?
I think you could save a lot elsewhere, even with your lengthy record.

Ditto but $179 with GEICO. My bike is 20 years old though, I imagine their payout for a total would be about worthless. Age 38 and live in the sticks.

I tried geico, as that's who I have my truck with. Their quote was somewhere north of $600 for me with pretty minimal coverage. I've been very happy with geico on the truck. Bike... at over double the price it just didn't make sense.

As an aside, I've actually used the "roadside assistance " thing from progressive for my bike once. I had a valve stem go bad (which is amazingly hard to patch on the side of the road) and while it took a while, ended up with great service from the towing company.

When I tried their online quote it was double my Foremost/21st Century policy at the time. Happened to be adding a car to the GEICO policy on the phone and asked about the bike. Much lower rate! I'll have to call and ask about that accessories coverage though...

When I tried (over a year ago) I couldn't even get an online quote. The CS person I was on the phone with had to conference in someone else, then they had to get approval from someone and called me back with the price. Maybe I just got the wrong CS rep, but with the price plus the hassle I figured I'd just take the easy route.

Re: What do you pay for insurance?

I know most of you guys are in MA and I'm in CT but I figured I'd post up as a comparison. I've got $250,000/$500,000 liability on 3 bikes with $500 deductible. 2011 Tiger 800 with full coverage, and a 1998 Triumph Daytona, 1994 Honda Shadow 600 both with liability and comprehensive and I pay $498 a year. That is with $3000 accessory coverage on all 3 bikes. That is through Progressive.

I had Geico prior to Progressive but once I got the Tiger, Geico wanted $700 JUST for the Tiger.

Re: What do you pay for insurance?

about $450/ year(10% off for MSF) for me, full coverage and a $500 deductible. I get a fat check in the winter when I cut down my plan, so for the riding season it's more like $250ish.

Liberty Mutual, tagged onto my parents plan.

Re: What do you pay for insurance?

After seeing some of the rates, I think it's time I did some inquiries. My account with NGM also includes homeowner (a two-family) insurance, a general liability ($1M) and one full coverage car policy for my wife's '09 Malibu in addition to the bike. I've had two small claims on my homeowners insurance in the 25+ years of coverage, both tree damage from neighbors' trees and both in the last 6 years. When I asked my current local agent to switch to another carrier they told me my homeowner's policy would at least double (paying around $1100 now) from any other company because of the claims.

I simply have to check with others to see what they quote.
