I'm in the process of changing my plastics to a completely new color.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do for registration purposes? (MA)
Do I have to redo the title as well?
or should I ride this season with new plastics, and make changes for the start of next year, since I'm already registered & inspected for 2012.
What is the fee and or ticket for riding a bike when the serial # doesn't match the color of vehicle?
...thanks

You don't need to do anything.
I don't know about Mass, but in Rhode Island, you'd have to go to the DMV and have them change the color on the registration. I did it once, it was $5 or $10 at the time.
I don't think it's a big deal, though if a cop runs your plate and something doesn't match, it's just a reason to stop you

When I had my red/white/blue CBR I was pulled over because the reg had my bike listed at white, and the cop mostly saw the red/blue as I passed. All was good in the end but I'd assume if you had a cop angry/bored enough he may pull you to see whats up.
All I did was when I renewed my reg I asked to have the color changed thats it.......no bigge
