If anyone else here is on that forum and is going to VIR, please post up that you are going so people there realise that there are actually some people going to the event.

That was uncalled for:D
That didn't take very long.....link doesn't seem to be working anymore.....:axe:
Huh? Who's Alexa?Quote:
FYI, I have worked with most other trackdays that outright give a free day to the site... of which I run a contest for, but obviously he does not know how strong the site is. SportbikeS.com (the whole site) is the highest trafficked website for sportbikes on the net as independently rated by Alexa.
The R1-forum has 10X the traffic and it's a bike specific forum:dunno: Put down the crackpipe Donkey.. heeehaww
http://sbw.sportbikes.com/showthread...threadid=49827
And it was listed on www.thumpertalk.com in the events section, hopefully it'll be up soon:D
I wouldn't have asked to post it there, i would have just casually asked in a upcoming events area or even general area if anyone was attending this event and post a link to it. It gets the message out there:hellyeah:
What the hell are you doing on Thumpertalk:dunno: You need dirt toys for that site:D

Dearest Mike,
Apparently you don't understand what I'm asking you to do.... the "work" you're doing for "free" is simply allowing me to tell the people of your beloved sportbike community about a wonderful opportunity to ride VIR for two days via a "Hey guys, check this out" thread. You say your goal is to give back to the sportbike community - well you just blew a chance to let your riders know about what could be an incredible event. Instead you just made it that much harder to reach our collective goal of empowering the sportbike community by bringing it together in an environment like VIR. You're making it harder for small groups like us to grow and promote safe riding. In fact, the way I see it, you're simply trying to make a profit from a group of hard working sportbikers who are already loosing money on this trip of a lifetime.
I thought the offer Derek put on the table for you was actually pretty generous, considering he's already put himself 10 THOUSAND dollars in the hole to bring us this event. He has no big corporations helping us out yet he was willing to give you a 550 dollar track day if 10 people signed up... But now after looking around on your forum I i can see why you declined, since this forum is obviously more about show than go. Your trackday forum has a total of 9 posts for the month of February so far. That is crap traffic for a forum of this size, and you expect more compensation from us? Looks like you would NEVER get 10 of your members to sign up. No wonder you want a free trackday in advance.
You, my friend, are the one that is diluting the power of the sportbike community. Shove your Alexa rating up your ass and have a good night

note to self:
"don't fuck with Pete"
