I noticed tonight that when I'm riding on the street I usually choose poor lines around corners on purpose so that I can get more lean angle while still going at law friendly speeds.
Anybody else do this?
lol, all the time.

i dont think i would call them bad lines though. more like just taking real sharp close angles of entry. lol i just get bored going slow around town and try to make the road more fun.

If you mean hugging the outside till the last minute then flipping the bike in quick, yes. I'd call that a "street line" since it offers you the best viewing angle of the corner. Although the line may be off for the track, flipping quickly will transfer nicely. If you mean inside-inside-inside turns, no.
I typically tell people to watch out because I take some crazy lines sometimes for that reason.. Your not alone, Infact If I'm not mistaken, In that artical titled "The Pace" That is basically what it is saying, turn in a little later...
No you are not alone. That's a good way to have fun behind a slow moving car
yeah turning in later (and quicker) actually equals less lean angle for a given turn as opposed to turning slower and sooner which requires more (and longer (distance traveled)) lean angle .... for a given speed ofcourse

Its Just a late Apex, Itself is usally a good line because it get the bike turned In one flick .and alows you to get on the gas earlier upon corner exit.

cause so much of my riding is on rough roads, my lines are those that give me the smoothest ride or best traction thru loose stuff
