My bike photos as requested by some

Some of you have asked to see pictures so here they are finally.

    The full bike

    The Jardine exhaust

    The flush mounts

I am planning on removing these flush mounts over the winter and swapping them for a set of protons.

Re: My bike photos as requested by some

It will look better next season hopefully my list of add-on's so far are below.

    Trippage IT Taillight
Trippage LED Turn Signal passenger Pegs
Trippage Night Rider (white in 3rd eye)
    Protons
    Windscreen
    Woodcraft Clip-ons with 1.5" risers
    Double Bubble windscreen
    Woodcraft (or other) rearsets

I was going to go with the Trippage turn signal mirrors but want to wait to see how bright the protons are and if they will be required. The flush mounts I have now are NOT that visible.

The entire fender will be gone and will relocate the plate under the exhaust or on the side of my wheel like others have.

there are probably some other things I failed to mention that are I wants but this is a pretty large list for me as it is, I hope to get it all done but might not.

I also just committed to buying the 5x8 Haulmark trailer in the F/S section which is probably where I will keep my bike in the winter unless you guys tell me heated is a requirement.

Looks great the way it is. How bout if you stop dickin around with it by throwing every single possible bolt-on part on it & just ride the thing?

I have been riding the thing as much as I can, don't think I am doing too bad almost at 2,000 miles on this bike for being mid season and out of commission for almost a month

Re: My bike photos as requested by some

BTW anyone know why the 1000RR has a shorter rider seating area than the 600? I sat on my friends 1000RR and there was no stretching to reach the bars but on mine there is. I also sat on a 2011 1000RR thinking it was due to my friends being an 06.

I personally think the 1000RR fit better but it's just too much for me right now

I put over 12k miles on my bike the first season that I had it.
Know how many aftermarket parts I installed? 0.

Spend more time & money upgrading the rider, not the ride. Skill translates from bike to bike, pretty parts don't.

yep but I have a fiance and 3 kids that I need to provide time with as well as my bike and work

2,000 miles for a partial season is fine by me. I wish I could have done more but still it's more than a lot of people put on their bikes lol

I do understand what you are saying though and am going to focus on the parts I need to make the bike more enjoyable and comfortable first like the risers.

    ME NEITHER!

I'm not saying people shouldn't dress up their bikes... Fuck, I don't even wanna think about how much all the pretty bits are worth on my Tuono. Just saying new riders always worry about how their bikes look and how to make it look nicer more than seat time & rider education... RIDE THE FUCKIN THING! You're never gonna be an experienced rider if you don't get riding experience!

That exhaust is awesome! Where'd you get it?

Jk, it's pretty sexy already, I'd probably call it quits with the bling quickly too, but hey, whatever blows your skirt up. Pete's onto something...get all the rider education you can afford. It'll hopefully ensure you can spend some more time with the chitlins.

I already have BRC this weekend and next, after that I will take some time to absorb what I learned and practice it, then I will take the advanced course. That stuff is in my mind as well and is put ahead of many of the modifications I have in mind. However I also need to set aside time to practice so it's not like I can take the BRC and then the ARC back to back.

Re: My bike photos as requested by some

The ARC won't contain a whole lot of new material compared to the BRC. It's more of a condensed version/supplement/refinement of the BRC than a "chapter 2".

oh thanks for that information I thought it was pretty much a "chapter 2".

Are there any courses I can take after BRC that would enhance my skills? Aside from racing lol, I'm not ready for that just yet but fuggin soon!

    BRC for the basics
    More street miles
ARC if you like to remind you of what you should be doing and a few more advanced techniques. You're not going to get much out of it if you do them in quick succession.

And don't be put off by the track day suggestion as to suggesting if you don't do them, or don't want to race, you aren't a real rider. You'll learn more about actually riding a motorbike in a couple td's than years of street riding. Look into lee parks' school too.

What fun is having a bike if you aren't going to screw around with it? Gotta do something when it rains. Money's made for pissing away on toys, isn't it?

I'm not much of a sport bike guy, but I'll admit the bike looks good. Dig that exhaust, nifteh.

You should know by now that only expert road racers are real riders. Everyone else is just a poser.

All kidding aside, I'm with the do yo thang mentality. Rider education is great, making a bike yours is fun too. The motorcycle hobby/addiction covers a lot more than the act of riding alone.

I would have removed the heat shield, so you can see the exhaust can. It wouldn't effect the plastics. Ask me how I know.
