Which lowering link would you guys prefer?

Im looking for a 2in drop for the rear but i seen these two and i wanted some opinions of which ones you guys would recommend better or if it even makes a difference

    (billet T7075 aluminum)

    or

    (CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum)

Should i be concerned about what type of alimunum it is like the 6061 T6 or the T7075?

I'm pretty sure 7075 is harder and more durable. Also the first one has 2 height options, I see no reason not to go with that. Oh second one has better bearings hmmm. Idk how much that matters.

You can at least let him know he should drop the front the same distance as the back to keep the symmetry of the bike similar to what it's suppose to be.

You know, in case he was not aware of it

You wanna really lower your bike? Add some lean angle instead.

So...you realize youre gonna ruin the cornering ability and handeling of the bike, right?

Oh the other hand, you may not care about that...which is cool. Different strokes for different folks. To me motorcycling IS ABOUT THE HANDELING. I try to improve the handeling on every bike I own...

Re: Which lowering link would you guys prefer?

Dropping the rear will increase the rake angle of your front forks. This will make the bike want to track in a straight line more and make it more stable. This will cause a decrease in cornering ability, but it will probably be fine for street use. Wouldn't be advised if your going to track the thing, you'd actually want to rise the back to get more ground clearance and a better turn in.

The 7075 has double the tensil strength so it's twice as strong, but the design puts more stress off center of the pivot point, so it may not actually be that much more resistant to breaking than the 6061 with the central support mass and pivot points. 7075 aluminum is also less resistant to corrosion. Not really a huge deal as you could simply clear coat it or paint it and it's not likely to see a ton of moisture anyways. Either would work fine, I would buy the 6061, just because the geometry looks better.
