    Rain Gear

Don't plan on taking the bike out in the middle of a rain storm, but here in New England, there's no telling what the weather will be like in an hour. While I'm not so worried about my pants, I am somewhat worried about my jacket, given the amount of perforation and ease of hypothermia.

I'm looking for something that can easily stow away in a tank bag, easy to slip on over coat / pants / boots, and isn't a pain in the ass / eyesore to wear. Few I'm looking at are the Joe Rocket RS-2 (http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street..._rainsuit.html) and Tour Master Defender (http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street..._rainsuit.html). Thoughts on either? Suggestions on something else? Thanks.

Alpinestar seems to have the best rating here. I have an old Fieldsheer rain suite that is one piece which works well

After seeing Tony himself using his a few years back at one of his trackdays I was intrigued enough to buy them to try out myself and have never looked back. They're super lightweight (and breathable) so in the hot muggy summer days you won't feel like you're wearing a portable sauna like most pvc/plastic rain suits. Frogtoggs fold up nicely compared to the plastic based stuff too, pretty sure most of them come with a handy little bag of the same material too.

    +1 for the frogg toggs

They recently (last few years) came out with motorcycle specific product that includes reflective piping. I really liked my set and it's time to get another one.

I use a big old yellow rain suit from walmart. Cheap as well, works great and you can be seen a mile away.

I have done full day track days with almost no issue in mine.

    Me too!

Mine are like 9 years old!

Still work great, but not looking quite as nice as before.

I use mine for snowblowing in the winter too so they get used quite often.

    Re: Rain Gear

I just ordered the motorcycle specific suit from forgtoggs!!! Top notch. I also ordered the Boot covers and some aerostitch glove covers.

Bring on the rain. Nothing worse than being completely soaked at 9 am and have a full day of riding still.

I have used all the gear so far and no complaints yet.
