I had gilles on my RC51. Tons of adjustability and a good product. Went to woodcraft on my R6. Took about the length of pit road to get used to the position and then I never looked back. It is nice to be able to adjust the rearsets but its just one more thing to fuck with and I was never happy where I had them. I think I tried every spot and was just never satisfied only because there was another spot.

Still deciding. Thanks for all of the input. I also posed the question to the 1000rr.net group and only have votes for Vortex so far. Not sure what kind of people post there, since I'm a newbie. My gut feeling says their more of a bling crowd.

I have Woodcraft on the SV and I know how they handle a crash, since I had to replace some parts on them and was able to salvage the bracket (thanks to PK and a big hammer).

Just so confused. I think I just may do an eeny-meeny-miney-moe to choose.

The 1000rr.net guys used to be mostly track guys, a lot has changed over there in the past few months. Search for the thread, "rearsets picture database" and you will see all the various options for the 1000rr, how they look, rider reviews, etc. A lot of guys on 1000rr.net suggest the vortex because they are not from New England, and Vortex has huge race support all over the rest of the country. And like Kitt said, individual replacement parts are cheap.

Sato, Arata, Arrow rearsets, while nice, are really pretty expensive, and dont crash as well. I think the vortex vs. woodcraft is a good debate, just comes down to whether or not you want to compromise adjustability. IMO, go with the Vortex pieces.

Brad @ SBS is the man. And will get you incredible pricing on almost anything you want.

All good info. I actually PMed Brad for his pricing on the Vortex, which I will also ask of Ted at Duncanmoto to see if he'll match, as I want to support the local shops and Ted also sells Vortex.

I would just like to know the reasoning why all of the die-hard Woodcraft people call Vortex blingy and cheap, when I also see quite a few here and elsewhere that say Vortex are decent.

Go with the Woodcraft, I have a set work great.

Believe me, I'd love to spend the money on them, but I'm also looking to get a set of Pazzo shorties and replacing the seats with Sargent seats.

got them on my RR and I love them. The stock seat isnt to bad...I did a 450 mile ride in one day on it before and it was my legs more than anything that hurt

F that seat. I've been riding on a Corbin on the 900 for 3 years and miss the padding already. For a heavy guy, I have a boney backside.

fully adjustable & some want a shorter lever (like me).
less likely to break a short lever in a lowside. plus some use 1-3 fingers for clutch and brake.

if only Pazzo made a chrome lever ;)
