This might sound like a weird idea but this is what we did on a 5 day biking tour. We took a deposit from everyone. All the bills were paid for from that pool and anything extra or really expensive you order (e.g. Steak - you pay CASH) but usually everyone was eating for around the same amount - also we never had alcohol which is the biggest cost driver. We would often leave generous tip becos they have to be accomodating with all the noise and all our gear lying around the place. But still having a pool will reduces individual risk like what happened with Steve in above case. I do not mind paying for a friend but I should do it from will and not having to be forced becos someone was irresponsible.

Just for the record your right if i pay for Rob or someone else thats my call. I shouldn't have to pay for someone i haven't spoken two words to all night. Oh well if i dished out alittle extra maybe someday it will come back to me. I ride with most of you from time to time and go to Bikenight as much as i can, it will work its self out.

I feel bad because the waiter got stiffed he's a real nice guy and the place is more than accomidating to us, hell when it was the 4 of us the waiter would pick up a round or two. Rob told me about this the next morning and i felt so bad i called there to speak with the waiter but he wasn't in yet. It's not only eachother were screwing it's the waiter and the establiment that accomidates us. That's what bothers me.

Seperate tabs should take care if it next time. This way the waiter can keep track if someone doesn't pay and it's between him and that person.

I'm confused. Did a NESR member fuck the waiter and the whole group? Or do we think it was someone else.

If it's the former he/she should be found out and invited not to return...
If it's the latter then we shouldnt get our drawers tied up in a bundle. We should just be more careful in making sure the waiter gets the dough.

Sucks either way...

We think that either a forum member of a guest of a forum member grabbed all the cash.

And we think this because the owner told us that he WATCHED it happen.

WHY it happened we don't know.... but I'm obviously HOPING it was just a very bad misunderstanding.

Oh my god now you have to spill the beans. What did he say the person looked like or does he remember what they were wearing? If its a mistake it can be worked out and at least solve the mystery.

That is seriously messed up. Definitely not cool at all! Wayne is a really cool guy, there are not a lot of restaurants that would put up with our level of rambunctiousness. It just gets under my skin. U cant post something like this and not expect people to react. This isn't about only "you" it effects everyone from NESR who goes there after BikeNight.
It cost me at least $50 more to drink. Steve @ Heather were telling me they were going to speak with the owner to see if he would advertise BikeNight in the resturant and NESR would be part of that. Steve would also see if the owner would offer coupons for Steve to pass out at BikeNight. Discounts or free Apps or something. I would just hate for the owner to have a bad tast in his mouth over this and say no to Steve. Just pretty shitty all around.

must say that it is by far some of the best sushi i have ever had.

from the parties that go on there, its not about the owners trust me its the neighbors. keep them happy and you can do whatever you want. start getting under their skin they call in noise complaints, cops show up, then the owners get peeved, and then well you know....

eh the regular business will make up for the little mistakes....

now had you not gone there for awhile and they remembered you that would be a different story, but that place has put up with alot and i am sure no matter how hooligan the NESR crew is, there has either been or will be worse.
