Hey all, finally finishing up on my bike to get it running and now im having Title problems. just wanted to see what you guys think, and no TBox, im not going to drop the bike off a cliff...
Bought an 88 ninja 600R from these kids who never transfered the title to their name (whichever i bought it from, cant remember) well they got it from a friend, who got it from a friend, etc etc...
Ive never dealt with title transfers and have no clue what i was doing. these guys tell me that i need to put his information in the first blocks which was wrong. now the RMV wont take the title transfer without an affidavit signed by both me and the original owner of the bike who lives 3 hours away from me! Any ideas around this? I signed it myself and got a noterizor(?) to sign and stamp it but i guess this owner has to be there and sign it again. I really dont want to go all the way out to Lynn to find this guy, if hes even there anymore, and bring him to get this thing notorized.... please help!!
we both have to be present in front of a notorizer/noterer so she/he can see us sign the affidavit...
Your fucked, Take the drive.
The affadavit Does not guarntee its gonna work out. The only way to make sure is contact the preson whos name is on the title, Send an application for duplicate title to the RMV in His name and have him send it to you when he gets it this whole thing takes about 6 days.

do you know where Moon road is? or something like that...?
Register it in VT.
No titles needed from 93 back now, bill of sale only also you DO NOT need to be a VT resident to register here.
From Westfield you have a full service DMV in Bennington or the mobile van is in Dummerston every week.( Exit 4) of 91
There is no longer a Brattleboro office.

There is a BIG cliff behind your house. KARMA, KARMA, KARMA
How will not I not have to drive to Lynn? doesnt it send the duplicate to the person who "owns" the title? i guess he COULD mail it... I only say this because on the application it says:
" NOTE: The duplicate certificate of title will only be mailed to: (1) the owners mailing address entered on the RMV's database, (2) a car dealership, (3) a lienholder, or (4) an insurance agent. If the title is to be mailed to a dealer, the back of this form must be completed."
damnit TBOX....
I can make it look like an accident.
what does a mobile van do? sorry if thats a dumb question... this seems like my best option
Origin, you might know the guy that ownes the title... ill send you a message with the name
