Re: ride report: an SV and Pilot Powers in the woods of Barnstead/Strafford NH
I did start to take Old Ridge Road as a shortcut a couple days ago, but turned around at the water crossing, water was too deep and moving too fast for me

Re: ride report: an SV and Pilot Powers in the woods of Barnstead/Strafford NH
Great write up. I went by that road yesterday afternoon, coming home from Winnipesaukee, and wondered about it. Seems like it would be a decent shortcut. I think I have approached it from the other end as well while out exploring.
I'm not far off 156 in Raymond, ping me for a (pavement) ride sometime.

This made me smile. Thanks Brady!

the guy at the top of the mountain is a biker and has toyed with the idea of making a motorcycle only campground, he has several bmws , his son used to work for me,
I have surveyed at both ends of the road and walked the length of it

That would be an amazing spot for a campground. If it wasn't for the no trespassing sign (which I'm sure he needs with all the nearby trail traffic) I would have stopped and asked for a look around.

Dammmmmm Sv's are off road worthy....

yes if you can get there.......that last ¼ mile of road going up the hill isn't exactly what most street riders will ride on even though it's nowhere near as bas as going down the backside
Re: ride report: an SV and Pilot Powers in the woods of Barnstead/Strafford NH
that was priceless. great write up. thanks!
