Who rides a KLR650 primarily on the street

the new version comes out in the spring. It has already been dogged out here.
I looked at one in Mass last week and it went for 2500. I thought that was to much considering the condition of the tank and plastics. You can find them on ebay, there is a nice one in Jersy right now( or was) sitting at 3800.

back in the late 90's when i worked in a kawi shop everyone seemed to do front fork brace and bigger front brakes with steel braided lines.

if you want more fun go for the cousin of the klr...... the klx650r be sure to get the r version if you can and road legalize it, better suspension more power and it doesnt look as gay, looks more like a racing dirtbike

Says the guy with the neon green bike with pink writing on the seat . I think the ugly look of the KLR is a natural theft deterrent

Nothing says "gay" quite like a pink and purple seat. If I went the route of converting a dirtbike to street legal it woulda' been an XR650R.

I thought about the more dirt worthy bikes, but it really wasn't what I wanted. I wanted a bike for back road putting and an occasional commute to work. If I need more power, I'll take the TL.

yeah yeah i know.... its a work in progress, none of ou commented in my wheelie crater in the seat thouhg im suprised its extra chodetastic.... at least the frame isnt purple anymore, my theft deterrent is removal of the auto decompress you gotta be up and up on tyour 4-stroke starting procedure to get this beast running

I just sold a 95 KLX with the gay purple frame to buy a KLR.
It was a fun bike to ride but the KLR is more comfortable.

Do you have a stock seat on the KLR or sumpin' else?

I have the stock seat for now but will be looking for something differnt in the spring. A Butt Buffer pad at least.
