Work boots or engineer boots.
I like my bovver boots for their multipurpose streetability. Most moto specific boots just seem to plasticy for me. Also seems like I would need to change out of them if I needed to walk around at any point.

I use to wear my combat boots (think work boots with soft material from the lower ankle up) but I just picked up some A* SMX5's from Duncan Moto for a steal. Wore them around the house to break in a bit and now I wear them when I ride. After about 30-40 miles in them in the past 2 days I LOVE them. Feel so much better than my combat boots. Got a funny look from the guards at the gate today coming into work in uniform with my big boots. But hey, I like 'em and now it's the only thing I will wear on my feet while riding.
Had been riding in these:
Had these delivered to my house today:

I wear these are foul weather days, and days where I'll be walking around a lot:
And got these over the winter:
I much prefer the Sidis, but they tend to squeak a bit while walking around.
Anybody got experience with large size boots/shoes... like 15's? I hate speeding big $'s for something that doesn't fit well. Who makes a good pair that lives up to it's labled size?

Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
Just ordered some TCX X-Square boots. Should be a step up from my sneakers. Can't wait.

Those would be almost ideal for winter riding in Maine, but if you're worried about water resistance, forget Gortex, try these:

I like them because they match my helmet and keep my toes dry around all but the deepest slush puddles.
