Terrible - poor guy, and Rossi and Edwards too :(
that was one of the scariest things that I've ever seen. It made me sick to my stomach
Horrible. This is so sad. RIP Marco.
the only light in this awful, dark, place, is he was doing what he loved, and it looked to me like he didnt suffer....
...the suffering is left for those of us who loved what he brought to the sport, and to those who knew and cared for him as a man and a friend.
I'm gutted... RIP
I hate to post this, but I just saw a picture from another vantage point that shows that Rossi made a direct hit to Marco's head.
I can't believe the crowd started throwing trash onto the track when they announced the race was cancelled. With a crash of that magnitude, and that long of a wait - you've got to know something terrible has happened.
I hope every one of them regrets their actions. That was a terrible disrespect to Simoncelli, his friends, family, and all of MotoGP.
Such a loss. RIP Super Sic.
RIP...He was a true rising star in MotoGP. His talent alone was astonishing. For some reason his death has hit me harder than any others. It's kinda rocked me to the core. He will be greatly missed.

That's what I figured. Rossi knows that and I don't think his heart will be in raving any more.Quote:

Edwards and Rossi are probably going through a feeling none of us can even fathom, but its racing, and this happens. it should not deter them to hang up their leathers and retire, if anything it should make them ride faster, harder and more determined in memory of Super Sic.
This was the first thing I read this morning and for some reason it seemed to carry so much more weight than deaths of other athletes. I can't explain why but my heart sank. The guy was so dam talented. RIP Marco
Leeza watched him race for the first time last week or whatever, he was the topic of discussion for a while, she wasnt a fan of his style, but man, gotta love his win it or bin it attitude.
thoughts goin out to his family and to rossi for having to deal with something like that. a part of the sport you hope and do your best to never encounter.
Fuck.
After all day has passed I still feel actual sickness in my stomach for him. Very hard to accept.
There is an on-board video from Fox on youtube that shows when Marco initially lost the front end.
Woke up this morning and still have a pit in my stomach from a heavy heart.. His raw talent and infectious enthusiasm connected with fans, including myself, in a way beyond the other riders on the grid. I also feel terrible for Colin and Vale. Sure, it's racing and it wasn't their fault, but I can't imagine what they're going through.
Ciao, #58.
He was such a charismatic character. Great guy.
I had been following through the 2011 season and was really hoping for him to finish with the top players. My wife and I were talking about him just the other day. What a pity.
Speaking of charisma. How could someone not like this guy?

Looks like Lorenzo posted a tweet on his page.
Edit: the above is his fan club twitter account
Unrelated question: does anybody know what is Rossi's official twitter account? I mean there are a few accounts that claim to be his out there. Some of which claims to be his official one.
