I disagree with the "if people crash... so what" Phrase.
I think "people" crashing effects us all in a myriad of ways.
Think about it a minute.
If people rode within their limits, did not crash and did not get in trouble with the law the world would be a better place for motorcyclists.
I didn't mean "so what" as in "who gives a shit"....I mean "so what" as in "it is what it is". I'm not sure exactly what sitting back and judging someone does.
And Doc, with all due respect, there will always be someone somewhere that rides out side their limits and that person will have to face the consequences of their decison to do so. There is no avoiding that.
Furthermore, mistakes happen....plain and simple....regardless of skills, speed or what have you.

Respect right back...
As long as they face the consequences I have NO problems. Problems start when they don't and start throwing blame elsewhere (cops, road, bike, conditions... etc).
Mistakes may happen but they can be avoided or mitigated with proper Risk assessments.

So who wants to go ride T**** Rd?

And that's where self responsibility comes into play, IMO.
The thing that got me going is the FNG keyboard-jockying away when the reality of it is MANY of the riders here are prepared and will indeed accept the outcome of their street riding decisions, be it good or bad....unless it involves Kham and an officer of the law....but that's about the only exception. FNG is not in a position to judge by any means.
I'd say it's pretty smart of Kham to want to truck his bike up *just in case*.
(damn, did I really just use the words "smart" and "Kham" in the same sentence?)

Going by what you've posted in your short time here, you come across as judgmental. I say this because of a few comments of yours that basically state that if a person chooses to ride different than what you percieve as safe then they are less of a rider/ irresponsible/ failing, etc.
The forum already has dads.
If people crash then it is in fact "so what". Time for a new game plan for that rider.
It's not like anyone here is setting out on a ride and their goal is to crash. It's a risk that needs to be factored into the type of riding one chooses to adopt......and sometimes that riding style will not fit your perception of what's safe.
It is my humble opinion that you stand by a bit longer and learn who's capable of what before you pass judgment. You'd be surprised at the street skill-set of some of the folks here.
Re: T*************************** Road
This thread went downhill... ride with people who share your riding philosophies and have fun.
Who gives a fuck what others say, especially if it's from behind a keyboard?

It's the "holier-than-thou" bullshit that seems to be a recurring theme with FNG's posts.
Sorry I wrinkled your skirt Chris...:console:
