After putting 300 miles on the Strom Friday, Saturday the bike got its 600 miles service. Fresh Motul E-Tech 10/40, a new Suzuki oil filter, and just a general going through checking all fasteners, tire pressure, etc. So far, so good!

When that was done, I pulled the countershaft cover and replaced the 17T sprocket with a 16T. The Strom was geared too tall, and on the highway you had to be going over 80mph to really use 6th gear. The install was fairly quick and painless. Re-adjust the chain, lube and a quick test ride! The shorter gearing really woke the bike up. Much quicker down low, likes to rev and just a blast to ride. I didn't get it on the highway, but I assume it should be much peppier in top gear. So far, just an awesome bike.

A quick bath and its done!

Next up was the new snowblower. Run it to get it nice and hot, drain the factory oil. Next up, a liter of Motul 3000 10/40. No oil filter or air filter, so just clean it up, fill the tank with fresh gas and Stabil. Park it in the back of the garage and cover it. See you next year!

I was gonna drag out the Wing next, but by now I was just tired. Next weekend!
