My old provider (Markel) increased the premium to $351 this year. Progressive only charged me $145 for the same exact same coverage, with a lower deductible ($250 vs $750).
Wow, that's some great prices for insurance. Mines last year was over $1800 for one bike in Lowell (Safety Ins). Too many speeding tickets plus living in Lowell the insurance prices were sky high. I got a quote from progressive and it was $8k...yea that's rite $8k!!!! I thought it was a mistake and tried again and they gave me the same quote. I guess that's their way of saying we don't want to insure you. $8k was more that what my bike was worth. FML!!! My points as of right now is 16 points in the new MA system.
Mine is $156 a year with Dairyland.

Progressive will give you a great low introductory rate for that 6 mo policy. I switched all my cars and bikes to them.
Just wait till it renews!!!

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
If I were you, knowing how you do things and where your bike lives, I'd be getting the absolute cheapest ins. possible. I'll wager you the cost of that pretty BMW bike you ride that if you ever file a claim, it's because someone hit you. We both know damn well you are not going to crash it, and I doubt it gets stolen out of your alarmed, heated, AC'd, etc. garage.
Scratch that, I just remembered you've let me play with it. Full coverage!!!
I pay like, $8/year for my TLR. But we've also got our homeowners, boat, bunch of cages, life policies, property...
Married male, old, mostly incident free (now), full coverage, low deductibles...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I used progressive for years. I Bought a new Duc 1198 and they charged me about$900 a year, full coverage. 50 yrs old, clean class A license. My dealer (bike, not drug) turned me on to State Farm. didn't thing they'd be competitive. even with no other business with them, i now pay $350 a year, same full coverage. Was a huge suprise, check em out
Miss on you pister, go back off in your own jackyard! No ,I'm dot nyxlesic!!!
Stoneman, you pay 8 dollars/year? Can I get your agents info?

Seriously?
2001 gixxer 750, progressive and geico, $3000 a year.
same bike with concord group, 800 / year.
Guess who I went with?
Six years later (and, because it's SO important, 3 speeding tickets later)
07 gixxer 1k, concord group 1400 / year. Wasn't even going to waste my time calling progressive or geico. Woulda been 5k a year plus.
07 gixxer 1k, state farm, 502 / year. Add the car to that policy and the bike dropped to 325 a year.
Take a guess who my cage, bike and renters insurance is through?
Lots of people will tell everyone to call State Farm. That happens for a reason. Regardless of age, tickets, etc, State Farm is going to be cheaper than many other places.
I just checked my policy with progressive and it's not bad. $239 per bike; full coverage w/ $500 deductable. $50,000/$100,000. I should up that.
unfortunately, my homeowners company doesn't insure bikes but they carry my business so I have progressive for my bike, fwiw, my rates went up when I went from a SV650 to my V-Strom 1k ,mostly cause I made a claim when it was 3 days old and before I even told them I had it, since every year they have gone down
